HOW TO RUIN YOUR SPELLWORK
By Mambo Sam
1. Be afraid it might actually work. This probably sounds counterintuitive, but it happens all the time. I will talk with a client and we aren’t having good results. Through conversation, I get something like, “Well, I was afraid of it anyway.” Afraid of what? Afraid the spells would work and somehow that is a bad thing.
2. Start out with this attitude: “Well, I’ve done everything else, might as well try this.” The problem with this is that this is a spiritual endeavor. You are calling on yourself and powerful spirits (the lwa) to help you. You can’t come in with an “oh well” type of attitude and expect it to work for you.
3. Start out with this attitude: “It probably won’t work but I am going to try it.” Well, that is setting up a negative energy right from the get-go. I understand you have been through a lot. I get that this hurts. I mean I really get it. Been there, done that. However, this attitude is so damaging as you are setting yourself up for failure out of the gate. Much better to put in your mind, “this might just work for me.” You aren’t starting out with blind faith, but you are at least acknowledging that this might work for you.
4. Doing spells for the wrong reasons:
a. You’re doing the spells just to “show them.” Don’t do that. If you are doing something to enrich your life and do well for yourself, keep “them” out of it. Do it for you.
b. You’re doing spells for the wrong reasons. For instance, in a love spell, your sole purpose is getting someone to come to you is just to keep them away from someone else. Love work needs to be done from a place of love, not revenge. “If I can’t have her, no one else can.” Just no.
c. You’re doing inappropriate spells for the situation: Again, using love spells as an example, you set out to do a love spell to get two people apart as a power play. Getting into a relationship with someone to hope for powerful control is one of the worst reasons. This serious type of work should only be embarked upon only from a place of love.
d. You’re doing money spells to try to get money out of other people. You just want people to be so charmed by you they give you money. Money spells are built on need not greed. Not saying that there is anything wrong with wanting to better your financial situation or even naming other people if they are figurative in your financial history. However, trying to just beat someone out of money because you want is a terrible reason to do a money spell.
e. You’re doing a revenge spell where you are asking for more revenge than what hurt was received by you. Revenge is about balance. Revenge is about reciprocity. Something was done to you by someone. You want that someone to get something done back to them. But only equally. You can’t ask for someone to be killed because they stole your man. If you don’t under Universal Law, maybe I will do a paper on it to help. But meanwhile, just know that doing revenge spells in that way break Universal Laws. This is bad for you. You stand a very good chance of extra bad things happening to you because that is what you asked for them.
5. You think you already know everything and won’t follow instructions on products. Now, let me say this first, I do encourage people to be somewhat creative in their usages of products. However, the basic instructions of the product need to be done first, always. Anything that you decide to do “out of the box” is okay with me as long as you don’t mind “out of the box” results. The instructions are there for a reason, not just because I said so. There is no ego in my instructions. My instructions are meant to help you use the product successfully, using my knowledge of the products. I want them to be successful for you. But when you refuse to read and/or do the instructions, you will likely fail with the product. We do offer instruction modifications based on being differently able, being in a difficult situation, etc. You need to write to use at [email protected] if you need a mod.
6. Being in fear of the spirits that you want to help you. I get that the lwa can seem formidable and overwhelming sometimes. You fear you will anger them. You fear that they will punish you. You fear that you will be misunderstood and they will rain down fiery hell on you. They won’t unless are you are purposely doing something to piss them off. Despite what you see written on the internet (mostly by gatekeeping wyt people), the lwa aren’t just going to come out of nowhere and harm you for now reason. Even if you do something stupid, they are going to what a dumb ass and get on with their work. The lwa love to work. They love to bring joy, comfort, love, solace to people. They love that we recognize them. Don’t believe that hogwash that you are going to accidentally piss off a lwa so much that they will harm you. It just isn’t true. (I know there are a percentage of you who won’t believe because you have seen too many movies, read too badly written books, and told by some of the “all powerful Oz’s” on the internet.) Do yourself a favor. Just think about it. What they are preaching doesn’t even make sense. Do you know where the lwa get their energy and power? It’s from you. Your simple service of a glass of water provides energy. We need them, they need us. It is said that thousands of lwa have faded out of existence because no one knew them, no followed them, no one fed them. This is what offerings are for. You are offering energy and sustenance to a lwa.
7. Disrespecting the spirits you want to help you. I don’t see this very often, but every once in a while I get a “f*ck these spirits” person when they don’t get what they want. Don’t be stupid. Not all spell work is going to work. Even the lwa have limits. Every spiritual being has limits.
8. Giving up too soon. I have seen so many cases of people giving up too soon. “I did the trio, didn’t work, I’m out.” Here again, this is something I understand. What seems like a failure can be so frustrating that we don’t want to continue on. This is true for things other than spell work. I would plead with you, though, don’t give up so soon. Sometimes spell work takes longer than we would like, sometimes it works partially and we need to do something else, and, yes, sometimes it doesn’t work. But at least give it a chance. Talk to us before giving up so we can get a read on what is happening with your spell work.
9. You insist on getting readings while your spell work is going on. This is such an energy mind fu*k. Remember that during spell work, tons of energy is going back and forth. One day we might be up in energy, the next we might be down. Getting a reading during this time is likely to result in a false reading. If the reader is catching your person on one of those down days, they will most likely give you a reading the goes poorly about them. Plus if your reading is negative, you are planting negative energy into your spell work and into your desired target. But, I sure can’t stop you from getting your psychic hotline readings.
10. You don’t listen to our advice. When we advise not to talk to your spell target just yet, funky energy. We recommend you try not to fight during your spell work – but people do this all the time. “I had a fight with Johnny. Is this going to harm my spellwork?” Yes, that is why we tell you not to do it. Sometimes the damage isn’t so bad, but sometimes it has been devastating blowing up all the work we have done. The things we ask you to do and not to do are not because we want to control you. It’s because we actually know what things will be helpful or harmful to your case.
I am sure there is more than this and I will probably come back and revise this, but these are the basics.
