Spellmaker Mission Statement
As we approach our 30th anniversary in 2025, Spellmaker is rededicating ourselves to the well-being of our clients. Over the years, our clients have always been our primary concern, and we now have the opportunity to make that dedication even stronger with the integration of new technologies. These tools allow us to be much more interactive, staying in touch and more connected than ever before. We hope that our clients will feel this resonance and that it will strengthen our relationship even further.
We are also taking a deep look at every aspect of our business, from product instructions to the way we present ourselves on the website. Inclusivity is more important than ever. While we have never excluded any group, we are making an even more conscious effort to ensure that everyone feels welcome, no matter their background. If you ever come across something that doesn't feel right, whether it's in our products or our online content, we encourage you to let us know. We are committed to making sure that this is a space where everyone feels embraced and respected.
Additionally, we are taking a stand against gatekeepers within the Vodou/Voodoo community. It is time to dismantle the fear-mongering and knowledge barriers imposed by those who seek power through coercion. While there will always be a few things that only initiates can do, these are rare exceptions. We believe that practitioners should never feel restricted in working with the lwa. You should feel free to talk to the lwa, work with them, and offer them even the simplest of things, like a glass of water. The lwa need your energy and presence. It is said that thousands of lwa have disappeared over time due to lack of anyone serving them.
At Spellmaker, we want to tell you what you CAN do as a practitioner, all without fear or repercussions. Join us in breaking open the doors so the lwa can survive, thrive, and continue to exist in our world. Let's bring the power of Vodou back to the people it belongs to, removing the barriers and welcoming all who seek to honor the spirits. - Ayibobo to all with a good heart!
