Wiccan Witch – Follows the Wiccan tradition, which often includes reverence for the Goddess and God, the practice of magick with a focus on nature, and celebrating the Sabbats and Esbats.
Green Witch – Specializes in working with nature, plants, and herbs. Green witches are often skilled in herbalism and garden magick, drawing energy from the earth and natural surroundings.
Kitchen Witch – Practices magick in everyday life, especially through cooking and the home environment. A kitchen witch may enchant food, create protective talismans from household items, and use kitchen herbs in spellwork.
Hedge Witch – Works closely with the spirit world and often practices astral travel or shamanic journeying. Hedge witches focus on crossing the "hedge" between the physical and spiritual realms.
Eclectic Witch – Draws from a variety of traditions and practices to create a personalized spiritual path. An eclectic witch may use elements of Wicca, folk magick, and other practices in their magickal work.
Cottage Witch – Similar to a kitchen witch but with a focus on creating a magickal home space. Cottage witches use domestic tasks, crafts, and decor to weave magick into everyday life, often focusing on hearth and home.
Hereditary Witch – Someone who comes from a family line of witches and may have been raised in a magickal tradition. Their practices are often passed down through generations.
Sea Witch – Draws power from the ocean and its tides. Sea witches may work with shells, salt water, and the energy of the moon’s pull on the waves.
Solitary Witch – Practices witchcraft alone rather than as part of a coven or group. Many witches start as solitary practitioners and may or may not join a coven later on.
Secular Witch – Practices witchcraft without involving any deities or religious structure. Secular witches may focus purely on the magickal and practical aspects of their craft.
Cosmic Witch – Works with astrology, the planets, and the stars in their magick. Cosmic witches align their spellwork with planetary movements and lunar cycles for added power.
Ceremonial Witch – Practices formal rituals that often involve specific tools, words, and sacred actions. Ceremonial witches may follow systems like Hermeticism or the teachings of Aleister Crowley.
Elemental Witch – Works with the four elements—earth, air, fire, and water—to balance and empower their magickal practice. Elemental witches may focus on rituals and spells connected to these forces of nature.
Urban Witch – Finds magick in the city environment. Urban witches may draw energy from architecture, city parks, and the buzz of urban life, creating a practice that fits modern surroundings.
